InterLAN Consulting offers network audit capabilities, helping organizations identify and document their network resources and their configurations. Unless such documentation is already available, this is usually the first step before re-designing a network. In many instances, network audit can uncover network mis-configurations, resolving which may eliminate or postpone the need for a network upgrade.
A typical network audit will involve an information gathering phase and information analysis phase.
During the information gathering phase we will:
• Gather all available network documentation
• Identify all existing network devices and facilities
• Map all network connections
• Retrieve all network device configurations
• Gather network utilization and performance statistics
During the information analysis phase, we will:
• Identify and verify potential discrepancies between collected information and existing network documentation
• Review current network design and identify mis-configurations, bottlenecks and other deficiencies
At the conclusion of network audit engagement, we will present a report, documenting our findings, short and long term recommendations, and the suggested plan of action.
